Steve and Margie’s wedding was the last of my 2015 wedding season! It was a cool fall day with a ton of wind. Nice and sunny, but oh the wind. Margie got ready at the Sheraton Hotel in Duluth, overlooking a busy Superior Street. Nice fall days in Duluth cause Duluthians to get out and enjoy it, since we all know what is ahead in the next few months.
The girls made their way over to the Great Lakes Aquarium for the ceremony. The fall leaves were pretty close to peek, and it complimented the jewel tone colors that Steve and Margie chose for their wedding. The light was perfect in a gorgeous little spot at Bayfront Park, which is right next door to the aquarium. This little spot gave everyone a much needed break from the high winds, so everyone was more than happy to hang out there. Plus we got to walk through volunteers setting up for Bentleyville, which was pretty cool to see up close and personal.
Steve and Margie had a wonderful outdoor ceremony at the aquarium overlooking the water. Their reception was at the ever amazing Bent Paddle Brewery, which has some of the best beer Duluth has to offer! In true Duluth fashion, they also brought in food from one of our local food trucks, the Chow Haul. It was a perfect event full of some of our finest local vendors.
Just as we were about to leave for the evening, t-shirts started showing up all around the reception. It turns out that someone took one of Steve and Margie’s engagement photos, made it into an illustration and put it on a t-shirt. It was amazing!
