Well, here we are. The last wedding of my season. For those of you who do not know, I only work with ten couples per year for their wedding. Neil and Sarah made me sad that this year was coming to a close.
It is hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, it was 90 degrees out! I feel like we skipped over fall and went straight from summer to winter, this year!
I knew at their engagement session that this wedding was going to be special. Both Neil and Sarah are pretty soft spoken, but their love for each other is hard to keep quiet. They chose to have a small, family oriented wedding, which happen to be my favorite. They wrote letters to each other, and were a little worried as to when they would have time to exchange them. Part of a photographer's duty at a wedding, is logistics, so I came to the rescue.
We have switched up the way we do first looks this year, so I set them up back to back to read their letters, prior to seeing each other. To build their excitement even more, I told them to close their eyes, turn around to face each other and say a little prayer for their wedding and marriage. It was such a quiet, powerful, and beautiful moment of the day!
